Hi, I’m Whitney Taman, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist - I provide individual psychotherapy, therapeutic yoga programs, and social work services to adults residing in Ontario.

At the heart of my work is supporting people through the very human experiences of stress, overwhelm, disconnection, and change.
​
I work with individuals who want to feel more connected to themselves and others, gain a better quality of life, and feel more regulated and in control of their emotions. Many of the people I support feel burnt out, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or like they’re carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders. If that resonates, you’re not alone — and support can make a meaningful difference.

With over 15 years of experience as a mental health clinician, I deeply understand the importance of feeling seen, heard, and understood. I believe that people are inherently capable of growth and change, and that having the right support can help make that change feel more possible and sustainable. My role is to walk alongside you — offering guidance, tools, and a steady, compassionate presence as you reconnect with yourself and move forward.

I am passionate about helping people feel less anxious, less depressed, and less overwhelmed — and more like themselves again. Together, we focus on building awareness, strengthening emotional resilience, and creating balance in a way that feels realistic and supportive of your life.

As a lifelong learner, I stay current with evolving research in the mental health field and intentionally bridge the gap between evidence and real-life application. I value practical, effective approaches and love seeing clients experience meaningful shifts — both in and outside of therapy sessions.

My work is informed by a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Trauma-Sensitive Yoga.
My approach is strength-based, trauma-informed, and research-oriented, with a strong emphasis on compassion, authenticity, and progress at your pace.
